<title>Mixed vegetable and dhall rice</title>

<description>HOW TO PREPARE : - Wash dhall and rice seperately and soak for 1/2 an hour.
Take a pressure cooker add some water and dhall and allow it to boil. Add some
turmeric powder and a tspn of oil. Take a blender and add coconut, cumin seeds,
onion, garlic, red chillies. Grind them together to a coarse paste.

        When the dhall is half cooked add vegetables like drumstick, carrot and
beans.Allow them to cook for 5 mins and then add brinjal, raw banana and
potato.Let them get cooked for 10 mins.

         Now add the soaked rice, grinded paste and tamarind pulp. Add required
amount of salt. In a seperate pan, pour some gingelly oil, add mustard
seeds, urid dhall, curry leaves, asafoetida powder, small onions and fry
for sometime. Add this to the rice, dhall, vegetables mixture. Mix
everything thoroughly and in a low flame cook it by covering with a lid.(no
need to put the whistle). Once in a while open the lid and mis them from
the bottom of the cooker so that it will not stick to the bottom. Serve hot
with onion raitha, papads.
