Omlette dosa | Egg dosa | Curried omlette

Ingredients: - 2 serving spoons dosa batter, 2 eggs, 1 onion, 2 tablespoon chopped coriander, ½ teaspoon red chilly powder, 2 teaspoons oil and salt to taste.

Preparation time : - 5 minutes     Serves : - 2

HOW TO PREPARE: - Take a bowl and add the egg. Finely chop the onion and add that to the egg. Put in the coriander, red chilly powder and salt. Beat the egg well till all the ingredients blend well and there should be no lumps. Take a no-stick tava and bring to heat. When the tava is hot add one serving spoon dosa batter. Spread it all around the tava with a flat bottomed round spoon. Then pour half the egg mixture and with a flat spoon spread it all over the dosa. Pour one teaspoon oil around the dosa and cook for a minute or till the egg is done. Now flip over and cook for 30 seconds and remove from flame. Serve hot with some onion chutney. Do the same with the remaining ingredients.




Ingredients : - Two serving spoons dosa batter, 2 eggs, two tablespoons oil, pepper and salt to taste.

Preparation time :- 4 minutes     Serves : - 2

HOW TO PREPARE : - Take a non-stick tava and bring to heat. When it is very hot pour 1 serving spoon dosa batter and with a flat round big spoon spread out the batter in a big circle. Then take the egg and break it slowly on the dosa in such a way that you don't break the yolk. Now with a flat spoon spread out the white all over the dosa slowly and carefully. Sprinkle pepper and salt to taste. Pour one tablespoon all around the dosa. Cook for a minute or till the egg is done. Slowly and carefully remove from flame and serve with some coconut chutney. Do the same with the remaining ingredients.



Ingredients : - 3 eggs, 2 onions, 1 tomato, 4 green chillies, 1 big bunch of coriander leaves, 2 tablespoons grated coconut, ½ teaspoon cumin seeds, 1 teaspoon red chilly powder, 1 teaspoon coriander powder, ½ teaspoon garam masala(hot spice mix), ½ teaspoon turmeric, 1 teaspoon vinegar, ¼ teaspoon pepper, 3 tablespoons oil and salt to taste.

Preparation time : - 25 minutes     Serves : - 2

HOW TO PREPARE : - Finely chop the onions, green chillies and tomato each separately and keep it aside. Now take a bowl and add the eggs, ½ the chopped onions, ½ the chopped green chillies, pepper, salt to taste and one teaspoon chopped coriander leaves. Now with an egg beater or a fork beat the eggs well till all the ingredients have blended well. Take a tava and apply oil on it and bring to heat. When it is very hot pour the egg mixture. Pour a teaspoon oil around the edges if required. When one side is done flip it over and do the other side too. Remove from heat and then cut it into 1 inch wide strips. Take a blender and add the grated coconut and all the spices. Add a little water if needed and a make a fine paste. Now take a pan and heat up the remaining oil. When the oil is hot add the remaining onions and sauté till golden brown. Now add the freshly ground paste and then sauté till the raw smell leaves. Put in the remaining green chillies and tomatoes and sauté till the oil begins to leave the edges of the pan. Pour in the vinegar, 2 cups water and sprinkle salt to taste. Bring it to boil and then simmer and cook for ten minutes. Add the omlette strips and cook for another three minutes. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve.
